I’m Kathy Byrnes with Real Estate Riches, and I want to pull back the curtain on why showing up matters. Because when you skip out, you’re not just missing an event. You’re missing a life-changing opportunity.

You Don’t Know What You’re Missing—Until You Go

I’m with eXp, and I go to every single event I can. Why? The reasons are stacked, but let me give you just a few that always make it worth it:

Collaboration.
The right people in the right room with the right mindset can change the trajectory of your business. If your company doesn’t provide spaces for that, there are others that do. Ever heard of Girls with Grit? Or local real estate seminars? Recently, I was at one here in Charlotte where Ed Mylett and Pace Morby showed up—talk about powerhouse insights on business, mindset, and creative real estate deals.

Personal development.
I’m a firm believer that if you’re not growing, you’re stuck. I don’t care if it’s learning about health, wealth, or AI—events give you the fuel you didn’t even know you were low on.

The Energy You Can’t Replicate Online

Let me tell you about Cabo.

Every year, I make it a point to go. Yes, it’s expensive. No, I don’t care. Because what I get there? It’s life-changing.

We had sessions on AI. Business building. Recruiting other agents. We talked about mindset. Ed Mylett took the stage and spent a full hour pouring into us—on life, on balance, on freedom. We weren’t just agents learning tactics. We were humans connecting at the core, building lives that make sense with our businesses, not in spite of them.

And you know what else? Health.
That’s right. Gary Brecka, a human biologist, was there to help us get right with our bodies. Because if you’re not healthy, what’s the point of hustle?

We even ended the event with a sunrise beach service. I’m a Christian gal, so this hit deep. A powerful story of faith, family, and unity. Forty people came to Christ that morning. Talk about real transformation.

You Can’t Build Alone—And You Shouldn’t

There were 1,200 agents at that event. Some flew in from South Africa and London. One couple even brought their six-week-old baby. That’s commitment. That’s what it means when this is your business and not just your hobby.

And I’m not just attending—I’m giving back. I’ve got some wisdom. I’m not afraid to share it. That’s what these events allow. Contribution.

Thinking Bigger Starts with Being in the Room

This year, my theme is simple: Think Bigger.

If you’re not showing up, you’re playing small. And if you’re not using AI in your business? You’re falling behind.
